Nuvi 550 USB cover - Garmin UK do not sell spares :-(

The rubber 'Weather' cover for the USB port on my Nuvi 550 kept falling off, the third time it happened I searched in the mud but alas it has gone.

Contacted Garmin to buy a new one - sorry sir, we don't supply them, they shouldn't fall off as they have a rubber pin to keep them in.

Except it doesn't and Garmin won't sell you a new one There was no sympathy or recommendation as to what to do to keep water out of the port, the 550 lives on my handlebars and often gets wet. After a little rant I was told that if they get a broken 550 in for repair and can salvage the cap, they will send it to me. But I'm not holding my breath....

Very dissapointed.

Cheers, I'll give them a try. I've been looking at all kinds of other outdoor equipment that use a mini USB port to see if there is like a generic USB cover that I can adapt. Failing that I'll stick duct tape over it but it looks naff
