Received mine a couple of days ago. At £1.97 with free postage, its definitely worth the buy if you do any travelling as you can't lose out on such an offer! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Perseverance definitely paid off! It took a week of random visits to Curry's site but then one night late on I saw the free delivery appear. I've ordered three and been sent an advice they are dispatched so here's hoping
I am wondering what makes the home delivery appear sometimes. My guess is that the database of available products gets updated and then the delivery method updates later.
So anyone that hasn't managed it yet keep trying at different times of the day.
It's a payback for me because my other half drove an hour on a Sunday to a store that was supposedly open (according to their info on the site) only to find it closed. |

Mine is working well in the UK, but here in France the traffic sidebar is not showing and most of the traffic menu items are greyed out. If you are reading this, Mike alder, is there anything I can do to bring it back?

Hi Robin, first thing to try is resetting the device with a paperclip/ holding down the on/ off switch as applicable to your device.
Next make sure the RDS-TMC is selected to France or Strongest signal as it might still be set to United Kingdom - Mike |

I think they pulled them after they realised the mistake. _________________ TTGO730

Thanks for your reply Mike. I have tried the hard reset, but it makes no difference - the traffic sidebar does not appear. I can't find the menu to select France, that page only appears when the traffic receiver is recognised! If I try the TomTom traffic options, I am invited to set up a wireless/bluetooth link, but I take that to refer to using a mobile phone for TomTom's own traffic service.
It all worked perfectly until I got to Dover, but as soon as I crossed the channel it vanished!
Not a problem in the rural area where I am staying, but I would be glad of it when I drive up the main roads at the end of the month

What mistake?
I assumed they were just trying to get rid of all their old stock.
The advert ran for ages, the only oddity was that sometimes they were only available for collection and sometimes you could get free delivery. |

I did a trip this week from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt and back in a hire car using the old style TMC receiver (round pin) with Version 013 firmware. I can say it was rock solid and saved me on a couple of occasions from being stuck in long traffic jams. I did not have to set anything and to be honest I am not sure where the settings are
In a couple of weeks I'll be traveling through France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany so will test it out again.
I see the receiver is not available now in Curry's site as reported. I probably got the last three. Now I have a big job following Mikes article and installing two in our cars and one for use in hire cars |
