Putting POI's onto TT930

Apologies if this has been asked before

Just a quick question about POI's on TT 930.
I have the above unit since xmas and was looking to download POI's from this site to SD card for the TT to read from same as my Nuvi760 does. A mate at work said the TT cannot do the same as Nuvi due to a lack of software,,is this true?I have put the speed camera downloads direct to the European map folder as he suggests.
He says you must place a limited number of POI's into European map folder for TT to read.
Is there a way round having to have a small number of POI's in map folder and put larger number of POI's onto SD card

The last time anyone checked the TomTom could accept 169 custom POI categories in any one single map folder, thats 169 different POI files each containing thousands of locations. To put POI files on the device treat them in the same way as you did the speed cameras using Windows Explorer to copy and paste the files to the European map folder (or North American map as applicable) - Mike
