Due to defective battery, my H4150 has hard resetted itself and I have lost all navigation and loads more.
I want to install:
a) TT2 and GPS software which I already have
b) Upgrade to TT3
c) Load up Checkpoint, which I have never had before.
d) Load up speed camera database
Can anyone just assist me in adding any further vital steps to the above bullets and/or re-arrange sequence in anyway so that I can have a stress free attempt; now that I am at square one.
Help gratefully received.

If you already have a Navigator 3 upgrade pack and want to use it, don't bother installing Navigator 2 again - you can install a Navigator 3 upgrade without having Navigator 2 installed already.
The camera POI database is best installed (and kept up to date) via POIedit - see this article on how to do it - though the screens look a little different in the latest versions of POIedit.
CheckPOInt 2.0.2 is available from the downloads area of this site, and is the version I'd recommend for use with the Pocket GPS World database. Simply start ActiveSync (that is, cradle your Pocket PC if you use the cradle), then, with ActiveSync connected, run the file you've downloaded on your PC, which will install the program to your Pocket PC. It's then a case of tapping on the CheckPOInt icon at the bottom of your Today screen and setting up the various options in turn (if you tell CheckPOInt to start Navigator, and shut down with Navigator, you then just need to run CheckPOInt to fire up your system and exit Navigator to shut it down).

David,
Thankyou for your most excellent and speedy reply. Because I haven't had a need to tamper with PPC for so long, I just needed a bit of confidence to get into frame of mind again.
Anyway, good to know I don't have to bother with TT2 again; I think. Never mind; £100 worth of CD only lasted about four months!!
I have not ordered TT3 upgrade yet, but my brother recently came back with TT3 from USA ;so you might guess what I will be asking him. Is it true that TomTom permit activation codes to be used as required so long as certain time periods have elapsed between individual activations and no restriction on using different PPC?

Whilst you can activate one copy of Navigator on several Pocket PCs, it is a licence breach to have the same copy installed simultaneously on more than one machine (I read the Navigator 3 licence agreement earlier today to see if there were any stipulations in it to do with a copy of Navigator 2 you'd used to upgrade).
Pursuant to this, TomTom force time delays between activations. You can activate the second machine using the same product code no early than seven days after the first machine. After that, you have to wait six months to activate a new machine.
If you've got a copy of Navigator 2 and you want Navigator 3, go for the upgrade deal - it's around 40 pounds by the time the charge hits your credit card.
