Please advise if this is posted in the wrong forum (I'm new to all this)
I have a TomTom 540 live and i am missing some poi's that are on the website maps (namely the load here: Centre Latitude: 53.48749654673293 Longitude: -1.4940762519836426) Not one of the POI's appears on my TomTom, but for example other McDonalds elsewhere do ? |

First question - where did the POIs come from?
Second - Have you zoomed right in when in Browse Map?
Third - Do you have them Enabled in Show POI on Map?
Finally - Do you have too many OV2 Files in the Map (presumably UK & Ireland), Folder? _________________ Richard

Hi Old Boy
1 POI's are from you guys (Pocket GPS world)
2 They are on your website maps, but not shown on the tomtom device
3 Yes for example i have mcdonalds enabled but one on a particular roundabout is missing (it is visible on the website)
4 I have 125 OV2 files in my uk and roi folder , what is the limit ??
thanks in advance |

When did you download the files? We update nearly every day, but having said that the POIs at the location you gave are old locations that have been there for some time.
I don't honestly know what the answer is, as it's not something that I have experienced. _________________ Richard

Cor! Talk about devotion to duty...
Me, a life-long veggie installing McDonalds POIs on my TomTom just to check for you!
First thing, I had trouble finding it to download.... I didn't think of looking in the "Food" section
But to be serious... I just downloaded it onto my 720 and looked at the coordinates you mentioned and there is a McDonalds POI at that point just to the north of the roundabout.
So it looks like you must have a dodgy download? (or something very weird on your machine). Maybe try downloading it again for starters.. |

Just to be absolutely clear about this, when you say it's not there, what exactly do you mean? I know some of these questions are going back to basics, but the answers may help to identify the problem.
a) Can you navigate to the POI? It's called "Tankersley, Maple Rd DT".
b) Is it showing up on the view you get when driving along? If not, are you actually driving along Maple Road, or just along the A61 or A616 past the roundabout?
c) Is it showing up when you select the Browse Map option?
d) Are you sure it could not be just hidden behind one of the other POIs at that location? The Travelodge is very close to it. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Hi Guys
Problem solved, a re download of the POI's and a little housekeeping on the TomTom and all came good, apart from the McDonalds is gepographically placed incorrectly, I will go and submit an ammendment, thanks for your support _________________ TomTom Go Live 540
