Hi Guys
Just bought a Nuvi300
It came with UK maps installed
When I loged on to the Garmin site it said there was a map update availabe which I downloaded and installed.
Then when I had a play with mapsource I found it had downloaded the full Europe map.
I have that installed on a SD card and it works fine.
Is the a free upgrade or did they make a boo boo.
Not complaining mind you |

No - not a boo-boo by GARMIN. Because your device was supplied with old mapping GARMIN offered you the latest version. Map upgrades come as European as standard (even if you had to pay for the map upgrade).
Note: You would need to install ALL the relevant mapping onto a card if you want to route from a location in the UK to somewhere in Europe.

Hello Chap's & Chapess's I too have just down loaded the latest map from Garmin & when driving along the A2 M at Dartford in Kent it still show's me driving in a field , exactly as it did with my old map which was 3 year old & the road was in situ even then .Some how me think's that garmin are taking the PEEE!!!! I mean just how out of date are these supposedly LATEST MAP UPDATE's

Hi Paul seem's like we should have bought the Tom Tom then does'nt it .Navtec on board is not much to brag about it would seem still Another £60 & 3 YEAR'S later Garmin will may be catch up ,,,,,sad init  they must be joking . |

| I just bought a nuvi 865, I wish I got a TomTom now, shame I can’t put Tele Atlas on my nuvi. |
