pocketgpsworld.comPocketGPSWorld.com has been chosen as Media Partner by Telematics Update for their Navigation and Location Europe 2009 Conference, June 10th-11th in Amsterdam.

Billed as Europe’s largest gathering of Navigation & Location pioneers, the conference will unite dozens of the most senior executives in the industry. The organisers say they "will bring together every serious industry player in the Navigation and LBS ecosystem".

For instance, Willy Maes, Director General of Transport for the European Commission and Ulrich Fastenrath, Head of Product Development for NAVTEQ will be sharing the "Next Generation Traffic" panel to discuss key drivers for large scale adoption, how to make the most of dynamic and intelligent rerouting and harnessing and working with real time data.

T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2 and HTC will examine opportunities in the mobile space in light of the recent GPS smart-phone surge and TomTom, Navigon, Microsoft, Garmin and Mio will be talking about further exploiting the new content layer within connected services. Other companies signed up for the event include Yahoo, LastMinute.com, Rough Guides, Yell.com and OpenStreetMap.

The show core topics are:

* Analysis of the location based services (LBS) and navigation markets

* Breakdown the mobile specific opportunities for navigation and LBS

* How live services will directly influence the navigation and LBS business

* How companies will profit from the massive potential of local search in navigation and LBS

* Which value added services consumers are demanding and willing to pay for

* Insights into the future of location enabled content and its implementation across the ecosystem
