Which one?

I am looking at the TT 940 and 740 and wonder what the difference is apart from price.

Having just got a new car I want a TT to go with it for when we go travelling to UK and Europe only (NOT US Or Canada , I dont need those maps)

I would like voice activation and also would like space on it to store a few hundred MP3's. This is important. Is this possible with the two models mentioned?? and what are the benefits of paying another £100 for the 940

Welcome to the forum, if you want to store mp3 tracks on the TomTom then I assume you will need to play the music, the only x40 device that supports mp3 playback is the 940 - Mike

Apart from that, the main difference between them is that the 740 has Western European maps, while the 940 has those AND the North America map. That accounts for most of the price difference.

If mp3 playback is important to you, but US maps (and the Live Services) aren't, consider buying one of the previous models - the 720 or 730 instead.
