I'm not sure if anyone else agrees, but isn't it weired how the TT describes a road name such A406 as "A four hundred and six" or the B4250 as "B four thousand two hundred and fifty" rather than as its written? Also when describing to turn off at junction 6A it will say "6 ah" rather than "a".

I'm pretty sure that garmin based systems don't do this so can it be customised at all?

The "problem" has been mentioned several times before and if i recall correctly it's to do with the way the Text To Speech engine reads the road numbers. If you correct it for the road numbers so B2450 becomes Bee Two Four Five Oh then house numbers will become Two Five The High Street or Three Five One The Avenue....

I'll check what Garmin units do....

Garmin Nuvi 760 & 765 - Anounces A690 as

Aye Six Nine Tee

but i think it would be clearer as Aye Six Nine Oh because it's not clear if it says Ninety (A690), Nineteen (A619) or Nine Tee (A69T). Also sounds a bit too close to Nine Two (A692)...

Perhaps a voice is needed from Hello Hello for navigating through France in case English people get confused......
