Hi All,

I have a TT940 and when I am using the hands free facility the volume of the unit is very low. I have done a search and seen that if you touch the screen whilst a call is in progress you can increase it, but it is on full already. The strange thing is I am sure my TT930 was quite a bit louder.

Any advice welcome,

SDM197.

Try turning the volume on the phone up to maximum, I am sure someone mentioned this when using Nokia phones a while ago but it might affect other handsets - Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply, I did try that on my Sony phone but it did not make any difference.

I think I will just have to put up with it, plus I have a very Quiet car some I am lucky in that respect.

Cheers

Just like the volume control on the TomTom is a different one during a call, so too, the volume controls on most phones are different depending on what sort of output you are using. In other words, you can set a volume for calls on an earpiece etc. and you can set a different volume for calls over Bluetooth.
Try setting the phone's volume during a call.

Same problem with my iPhone the issue I have is that I've routed the sound into my car radio using the line-out. When using line out it is not possible to adjust the volume, but all incoming phones are soooo quiet.

It works great with my iPhone, but you have to crank up the handsfree volume on the iPhone itself, as well as on the TomTom.
