XL V4 22 Hidden Menus

I have just purchased an XL V4 22 and there is no 'Clear Route' icon. Looking around on the web I see that previous versions have an icon to show hidden icons. Mine does not have this so I am wondering how I can get to the 'Clear Route' icon and any others that may be hidden.

From the main menu, choose "Change preferences" then go to the last page and choose "Show ALL menu options".

You should now get the full menu set.

Hi Gerry,

The problem is that there is no 'Show ALL menu options' icon on the last or any page of 'Change Preference'.

However, I have just discovered by chance that if I touch the taskbar below the map in the Navigation page a 'Clear route' option appears.

I'm running version 8.010.

Sorry Tom, it worked on the old "One XL" and the Gos. It''s possible that it's another missing item on the new XL.

Thanks for sharing the alternative way of clearing a route on that device with us all.

On the yourNav forum, a user has just confirmed that his new One Europe loaded with 8.010 *does* have a clear route option on Page 2 of 2 of the main menu, and for his unit its not available from the status bar.

Strange that the XL should be different on the same software version...

(But he doesn't have a "Show ALL menu items" option either!)

It strikes me as strange indeed. I've had TomTom from the early days when it was only on PDAs and one thing you could always count on was uniformity between versions of the same model.
