I HAVE A 940 BUT I ALSO HAVE A USB TRAFFIC RECEIVER FROM MY 730
WILL THIS WORK ON MY 940 TO USE WHEN I GO ABROAD

Yes it will work fine with the 940, I would also suggest you use it over here, when the service drops out on the HD system the RDS-TMC will automatically connect, it will revert back once the connection to the Live service has been re-established.
