Has anyone used or is using Anquet OS maps?

Having read their website www.anquet.co.uk their products look good.
1:25,000 1:50,000 regional and half-country OS mapping.

I'm not sure how they compare against Fugawi or Memory Map but the prices look reasonable.

Thanks.

I have read the review and posted latest details.
Now that they are pocket PC compatible, if anyone is using these maps I would be interested in your opinions of them.

Anquet have just sent a copy of their Lake District maps at 1:25,000 to us so we will be reviewing it soon.

The good news is that it is supposed to be backwards compatible with the current 1:50,000 maps, but I will be checking that as part of my review.

Even better is that we now have 3 competing companies providing OS mapping on PocketPC platforms, which can only be good for the users.

I am the proud owner of Anquet Maps Great Britain North and am very pleased with my purchase. Maps seem a bit slow in rendering on the PPC but maybe I am doing something wrong?

There does seem to be a quantum leap effect on the go with mapping software.

Would I recommend it? Course I would! I have asked Anquet if the will do other maps that will integrate with their software.

If an OSGB is an OSGB whoever puts a name on the box then perhaps it boils down to which is the most intuitive software. For me the gelling is sweet :-)

I am holding off for the new Northern England map due to be released at the begining of April.
How do you find it compares with the likes of memory-map? having played around with the demo of Anquet it appears light on features.
But then I suppose it depends what you are using the maps for.
I know PPC support has only just been launched but I can feel a wish-list brewing.

Yes - I have a file in the ppc which is being revised almost continuously

Partly because yesterday's wish list is today's oops list. I mean the thing I was looking for was under the mouse pointer as a user option all the time Rolling Eyes

Hi

I have anquet Lake District map and the maps or great (well they would be as they are OSGB) but I find the software for PPC very light on feature and so I screen print the maps and load into my Navio software http://tinystocks.com/gps.html (I dont personally like GPS tuner) and use the maps in there. The features of navio do everything except OSGB but currently I'm working round that.
