TT530 bluetooth issue

I've just moved from Navman to Tomtom.When I connect my Samsung E250 to the TT530 via bluetooth,the connection is ok and both bits of kit work fine.If I unplug the satnav charging lead (not during a call) whilst bluetooth is still connected, the navigation voice crackles, falters and dies and the screen flickers with it.The battery is fully charged.I tend to leave the power lead unplugged because I am in and out of my van quite a lot and sensibly take the satnav with me.Is there a simple answer before I take it back.Thanks for any info.

This is a known issue, on battery ppower alone the device will suffer from crackly voices and pulsing backlight. It is supplied with a car charger/ power lead for a reason and the lead should be used at all times the device in use within the vehicle - Mike

And having BT turned on seems to make it a lot worse.

Thanks for the swift reply mike.I have a company fitted hands free & and phone anyway,this satnav link was for use with my personal mobile which I won't miss by disabling the bluetooth.
