Hi Guys
I recently purchased a Tomtom Go 520 (refurb).
It came with 7.221 installed and I want to update to an 8 series to get IQ mapping.
Having read on the forum that 8.3 is causing "stuttering" etc I am a little concerned that this is all that Tomtom Home is offering me.
How do I get an 8.1 etc to avoid the dreaded stuttering, or is the problem solved by now?

Regards
Wolf

Use Windows Explorer to fully back up your TomTom device to the PC.

Use TomTom Home to update the Navcore software to the latest standard (Currently 8,301).

Use TomTom Home to get the latest map (currently v815).

Use Windows Explorer to fully back up the device again.

Try the device and see if it stutters, if you find you have a problem have a read of This Thread for few ideas, you can only use software with a version number above 8,300 to use a v815 map.

Once you get this work around sorted out Back up the device again and give it a try - see if you find it works any better, mine is considerably better with this 8,320 and v7 TTS installed - Mike
