There has been loads of stuff about the LTI 20/20 and its accuracy in the past, such as walls doing 30mph, but nothing seems to have been done about it to date. I wouldn't hold your breath.

When used correctly the LTI 20/20 is a very accurate measurement device. All the cases I'm aware of where evidence acquired using one has been contested have been due to errors in the use of the device.
He does not appear to have produced any valid evidence to defend himself against the actual conviction and so the attempt to throw into doubt the legality of the devices approval is being brought into play.
I'd be very surprised if this results in the headline grabbing pronouncement that they are illegal, the Govt would never allow that to happen. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor
