hi.. when i download the free poi.. how do i do it and where do i put them?

Unzip the download and copy/ paste the ov2 and bmp files to your map folder (assuming you are using a TomTom that is) - Mike

hi mike.. here you go another stupid question!... have downloaded poi file.. it fails to open giving an error massage!.. had a look and it says the download needs to be dropped into the stuffit application !! please point me in the right direction! cheers alan....... Confused p.s i am using a tt300... Embarassed

Are you using a mac or a PC? the Stufit application is only for use with Macs, assuming you are PC based what OS are you using Vista, XP or something else? - Mike

Right-click the downloaded .zip file and select 'Extract All' from the pop-up menu.

In which case you have a corrupted download, you will need to retry, how many POI files did you try to download the first time around?

You can install only the ones you want. Just make sure you have an OV2 and a BMP file for each category you want to use.
