In map share corections it asks if it should correct errors reported by many. How many reports constitute many?

Also who are the trusted sources?

Someone once posted quite a philosophical piece on this.

"Many" is at least two, but nobody knows the minimum number to qualify as "Many".
"Trusted" are whoever TomTom has decided to trust. Again, nobody knows who.

You might think that "Many" reports would confirm validity of something and you'd probably be right. However, if "Many" of us accept corrections submitted by "Any", then the first correction to be circulated will change our maps and we will not see any need to correct it. So we won't report a correction and there'll only be one report submitted. Catch 22.

I can only suggest you pose both questions to TomTom and hope you get straight answers.

I will contact them, but assuming I don't get a accurate answer.

How about we perform our own experiement. First one person creates a change to a minor road, then we increment this reporting by one until it is noticed by a user that has their TT set to many

If we could get 20 users then we could try see what the trigger point is

Count me out!! I don't trust any of them, so I don't download them. I used to submit removal of a roundabout at 51.45232, -2.41845 but after many times without result, I've given up.

Good idea - I have started a new thread with a suggested correction to see if it will work - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=447809#447809

Hah - Good question, but certainly "Too many" (which is NOT "two many") is as many as it takes to disable your reading ability Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
