Using a route on the Active 10

Can anyone help ?
I have planned and loaded routes onto my A10.When I try to use them by choosing an active route, viewing and then pressing start, the GPS does no recognise any positional changes. It therefore does not start the route and does not record any route/trip information. It does not start the breadcrumb trail either. If I go back to the map screen the actual position is given but this is inevitably some way past the start of the route. I have then also lost the route information on the map.
Am I doing something wrong or is the unit faulty ?

Hi,

You are right to activate the route first.
This makes it appear on the map for you.
The yellow line and the waypoints will be
shown with red arrows for direction.

Viewing and pressing start will show the
start point. To use the trail go into map mode.
Reset the trail and just follow the route directions,
this should leave your trail.

You have to walk to the position of the start to
get your current position and the trail to match.

The full guide section 7.00 gives you step-by-step
instructions to help you further. It doesn't sound
faulty.
