No satellite reading on TomTom

Hi
I have an Ipaq 2210 / SysOnChip CF Plus / TomTom 3 set-up.
I can pick up satellite readings when in the SysOnChip software but despite seeming to have everything set properly, I can get no reading when trying to use TomTom.
I've left it for about an hour but it still gives the "unreliable" message.
What am I doing wrong?
I'm using Comm port 7 with 4800 baud rate.

Hi Steve,

Are TomTom and your GPS receiver communicating with each other? Launch the TT GPS Status program and go to the Status page and you should see the dots moving from the icon of the Satellite Dish to the icon of the PDA.

If communication is taking place, then it may be because you’re not close enough to a public road that TTNav is aware of.
