New to this Garmin205W so please be gentle, I have converted mp3 camera alert voice files to wav files and combined them in one folder on my computer with PGPS camera data ,the queston is will this work on my 205w if I download on to it ,ie will the voices sound instead of the bong!

It should work but only if you have an old vesion of POILoader - POILoader_2400Beta.exe from here.

I say should as it's a unsupported practice.

Thanks for reply Paul, What other way can I get camera alerts by voice on to the 205W ,instaed of the usual bong!

Basically, you can't.

The normal method doesn't work as the 2xx series lacks the mp3 player required to play mp3s. One member here says they are developing a method for the 2xx series but nothing has been announced yet.

Changed my 205 W to a Garmin 760 a lot better bit of kit now I CAN load the camera voices Very Happy
