The image files need to go into the art/ cars folder then go to change preferences/ change car symbol and select the cursor you want from the icons presented - Mike |

i can't find the change car symbol option , it doesn't seem to have that option, does that mean i just can't do it?
is it possible to find the original cursor and just overwrite the file? |

Are you running a custom menu on the PDA as this could be causing the issue - I don't have TTN7 currently installed to anything to double check this feature though - Mike |

Have a look in the SDKRegistry folder on the device and look for a file named TomTom.mnu although if you don't know how to look for this file it is very unlikely that this customisation is actually on your unit, what hardware are you running this on? - Mike |

I don't think that version 7 software includes support for changing cursors.
There is a workaround using third party software which is described here.
This is the method that I followed to get a custom cursor (shown on the left) onto a GO510 running version 7.900. _________________ Paul |

This is from some of my notes elsewhere on the forum, the TTN7 application for the PDA is only available preinstalled to a specific HTC phone marketed by O2 Germany:

Cursor Change TTN7 V7.450:
Change Preferences(page1 of 2 Main menu)
Preferences (page 3 of 6)
Change Car Symbol
You are now in Car symbols, my page show approx 44 different car and motorcycle Symbols.
Hope this helps _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

For what its worth the change car symbol in TT7 (the unoffical PDA version at least) does work, but only in 3D display mode. As I use the 2D display mode most of the time I thought fhat it didn't wotk until at one point I changed to 3D mode and the car symbol I had selected appeared.
Cheers for now _________________ HP iPaq h5550 ROM 1.10.10 ENG

Correct, but because the icons are front/rear or angled views then I suppose it makes sense to only see in 3D, i personall also use in 2d mode aswell. I did make an icon for my car which seems a waste of time as I am awaiting delivery of new car. doh _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |
