TMC at last working on all Audi Sat Nav Systems

Audi have finally released a new map DVD (2007) for their DVD sat nav system (the RNS-E) fitted to A3 & A4 which includes TMC (from TrafficMaster).

Last year they upgraded the software on their MMI systems fitted to A6, A8 and Q7 to include TMC (also TrafficMaster).

People with the older CD based Audi sat nav systems have been able to use TravelPilot DX CDs since 2004 to have working TMC (from ITIS).

Having owned a CD based and a DVD based system, I have to say the TrafficMaster information appears to be more up-to-date and more extensive. It's already stopped me getting stuck in 2 big queues and routed me round a closed road.

It's taken Audi a LONG time to get TMC working on all their sat nav system, but IMHO it's a good result.

I've got a 2007 Audi a6 with the CD sat nav, and can't pick up TMC info, whilst using the sat nav, it tells me it can't pick up tmc from the radio station and offers to search for a tmc signal but never finds anything.

What station should I tume in to?

Nice to hear it's finally working - I wonder if this DVD also works on other VAG vehicles, which have been crying out for TMC on the DVD systems for some while now. Can you confirm where you bought the DVD from, and how much it cost...?

As for the radio station for an A6 - Trafficmaster use different radio stations up and down the country, so it's very much dependent on your location - basically you are looking for the local commercial radio station as your first point of call...

The TMC on CD based nav systems does NOT work on A6s.
Mine is a 57 reg.
TMC works fine in France, but Audi say it will not work in UK, and it never will. Obviously, I must have bought from Aldi instead of Audi.........
Anybody got info on a disk that will work?

One of the reasons i did not opt for either the DVD or CD satnav system on my new TT. Audi stated that it is unlikly to get TMC working in the uk in the near future.
