TomTom GO 500 - hard wire option

Hi

I have a TomTom GO 500 and wish to 'hard wire' this into my car.
It came with a cigarette adaptor - which I wish to cut off and wire in.

But, I am left with three wires Red, Black & White.

Can any body please tell me which wire is which (positive, negative & the 'third' wire???)

STOP, STOP!

You cannot do this. The charger has 12v - 5v reduction circuitry. Connect the bare wires to 12v and you'll fry the TomTom.
