I have a 4GB SDHC card now and have the map I am using on it and the other maps that I don't need at the moment stored on my computer.
This leaves my unit with aprox 3.5 GB of free space.
Things seem to work smother with this set-up.
With the price of SD cards way down and with the support for larger cards in the 8.30 application I was thinking of getting another card and then I could have all maps on it .
I was wondering what cards others are using with success ? |

I know some using a 16 gig sdhc card successfully and this was BEFORE 8.3.
I've not seen anyone using greater than that ............yet. _________________ David |

Using an 8Gb SDHC card on my TT720/30. Mostly have mp3 and pics on it at the moment.
Going to move the map folder over to the card sometime when I get 5 mins.
Everything backed up on the Mac and PC as well. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

You don't say what TomTom model you are using garcor....
Before v8.300 for the x20's and x30's, you could only safely use any card larger than 4GB for mp3s etc. as the machines would not write correctly to memory locations above 4GB but could READ it OK. (Maps need to be able to write to the card).
v8.300 removes this barrier, and I believe the x40 models running v8.204 don't have it either. |

Cool... So v8.300 or (I think v8.204) let you use 16GB, 32GB and beyond with no limitations. |
