|
|
I have recently noticed various Specs and Temporary cameras missing when I drive past them. I am using Camera Manager to download to an i3.
I checked the online map for reporting and they are displayed. I have checked the resultant Specs_GPX file and some are missing!
An example is the M3/M25 new layout which has been in operation for ages. The SPECS:29799, 29808, 29807 are in the file and my i3 is warning, but one a few miles on M3 South of these is missing. 29806. It is displayed on the PGPSW web reporting map and checking a CSV download with Excel it is identified a tSPECTS:29806. but not when converted into a GPX by Camera Manager and viewed in EasyGPS. It also seems to be missing the ones on M4 Swindon. I suspect Camera Manager is not converting tSPECS.
What's going on here? I get all excited thinking I have found new cameras, but don't report them as they are already on the DB map.
Please can you invesitgate. Thanks _________________ |/

If they are on the Database master map and they are on the .csv download I suspect there isn't a lot that PGPSW can do!
Is there a website or help system for the Camera Manager software you are using? |

Update.
A bit more work on a wet Sunday PM.
Ash's Camera Manager 2.6 does not read tSPECS:
I have renamed these using Excel to SPECS: and the missing cameras appear!

Camera Manager is a PGPSW favorite by Ash10 who is Famous here!
Is tSPECS: a new thing? In any case the Database is inconsistant in calling 1 out 4 SPECS: tSPECS:
i.e. The M3/M25 specs
-0.5344 51.40083 SPECS:29799@50
-0.53497 51.40164 SPECS:29808@50
-0.54036 51.39951 SPECS:29807@50
-0.56499 51.39097 tSPECS:29806@50
Perhaps ASH10 is working on it if he knows about it. _________________ |/

It has been in use for a number of releases now. Camera manager is third party software and not created by us. As such any issues with it should be directed at the author.
Perhaps you can post a message about this issue in the Camera Manager thread here? _________________ Darren Griffin |

There was a category in the PGPSW database with TEMP cameras (tSPECS, tGATSO etc) but they were merged into the main database. It appears CM doesn't recognise the txxx type cameras as the TEMP file produced by CM is also empty.
I'll raise with Ash10. |

Ash10 is aware of the issue. No doubt a new version will be posted soon.
