Don't know why you're having trouble finding them...They were in the "mp3" folder on the internal memory on my 720.
If you want to put your own mp3s on the unit that's where you'd put them too (unless you want to put them on an SD card, in which case they go inan "mp3" folder there instead). |

What happens when you use Explorer to try to delete the files? Have they (somehow) been made read only? |

Well mine were!
tell us the NAMES of the songs then...
This is what I had when I bought the 720:
You're not confusing mp3s with the audiobooks are you? |

No, I've just doubled checked and the 3 sample songs are not in either "mp3" folder the one installed on the Tomtom or on my memory card! |

I've managed to do it ran a search for the files from within Explorer and it found them after I had used "include hidden files" in the search so obviously I had hidden them somehow. |

No mate, you hadn't gone mad. I'd been having the same problem and found them hidden by default (despite the rest of my PC being set up to show Hidden files). Cheeky TomTom, trying to keep their crappy (no doubt sponsored) free tracks on the system. |
