Has anyone spotted a shipping 740 yet? I'm waiting rather impatiently.

Many people are advertising it, but none say they have stock. Except Amazon, who actually say stock is with a third-party, which makes me wonder if that party is just taking orders really. Ah well, I can wait.

Do you think that they really have it in stock? Given it is due any day now, I think they'll make a promise and a day or two late would be just unfortunate. None of the big names have it in stock yet.

I searched Ebay and found my 540 at one of the online retailers. Gave them a call to ask if I could collect one to which they origionally said no as they were for online retail only. After a bit of persuasion I managed to collect one from there local shop. A sale is a sale afterall.

Might be worth a try.

The advert I saw, he does say it will be delivered next day, and he does give a phone number, so all I could suggest is giving him a ring and seeing if they definitely have them, or if you live close go and fetch one.

FYI, still no news on the 740s. Halfords claim stock, but try to buy and they have none. Amazon say it is out on the 19th. Handtec say 11th or 12th, but I suspect that is a guess/hope. Ah well...
