How often should I report that my regular/local mobile camera is still operating to ensure that it remains in the database ...once a week ?..once a month ? I only ask as it was deleted 'out of the blue' until I raised it direct.

we give pMobiles around 6 months and confirmed mobiles around 12 months. so once a year would suffice in theory BUT it is better to report it each time it is in use. That way we can see a 'history' of it's use when someone reports a removal saying they've not seen it for 6 months then we get another saying they've never seen a mobile here then if it's not been reported for 9 months then it would likely go. however, if there's been irregular sightings for a few months before then the removals would be rejected.

hope that makes sense! note that it isn't set in stone as a lot of it will depend on the removal request comments - eg 'i drive this road every day to and from work and never seen a camera there in 25 years' would generally be ignored - why would they put a camera there in rush hour when traffic moves slowly? however a removal request such as 'i am a delivery driver and this road is just outside my depot - i pass the site 4 or 5 times per day and haven't seen it in use' would be more likely to 'cause' the removal if the mobile hasn't been reported as seen again.

as a consolation (?), it only takes 1 new sighting to put the mobile in question back to how it was (either as a pmobile or as an active mobile) - and with weekly reelases hat means it's only 'missing' for 7 days.
