|
|
I have a 720 and use the jukebox a lot. I have loaded some talking books on, in mp3 format.
The TT has decided to reorder the tracks - which are stored in a single directory on the SD card - which is obviously useless with a book.
It seems to be putting them in alphabeticaly order of track title.
Changing the file name doesn't help - it seems to be taking the name from the mp3 tags. It completely ignores the track number which is also correctly stored in the tag information.
Now I could fix this with a playlist or by editing the names in the mp3 tags, this would be a pain to do for everything I want played in a specific order, I would rather get it to follow the track numbers already in there.
Has anyone come across this and had any ideas on how to make this work?
Thanks |

Your only option (IMO) is to create some folders in the mp3 folder and have playlists. |

When I have converted my Audio books (CDs) to mp3 I have named and tagged the the tracks as
BookTitle - 01 - optional chapter name
BookTitle - 02 - optional chapter name
BookTitle - 03 - optional chapter name
etc
They will then play in the correct order.
Many freeware applications are available to batch tag mp3 files. Mediamonkey is my preferred audio library manager |

Thanks for the replies - I was afraid of that - couple of dull evening ahead retagging or playlisting a whole bunch of stuff I guess |

if you have the track number stored in the tags then mediamonkey (as mentioned above) will allow you to rename the file according to the tag information so you can add the track numbers to the filename in a breeze.
it's great software, i've been using it for years and was most gutted when i moved to mac and there isn't a mac version...
