Hi mmrmichael,
Just spotted your post. I'm resident in NZ and use the NZ maps regularly.
I imported a couple of TT One LE/NE/V4 (etc) from the USA as I needed something small and pocketable with decent memory capacity ... (the pocketable 'Ones' that TomTom released in NZ are well nigh useless unless you only drive in your own street ... 512mb and no SD slot ... won't take USA or Europe).
Anyway, having imported the units I had to download the NZ maps from TomTom, so should be pretty much as per any you download (except mine now one issue old ... just).
NZ maps are pretty much as good as anywhere, with claimed 100% coverage, road driven and verified. POI's etc are included as per any other TT maps I've encountered (I have NZ, Europe, USA, Hong Kong and Singapore). The range of POI's is more or less the same as Europe, UK, USA (50+) and the ones of interest to you are well covered. The only thing that was missing from my NZ map download was the speed (safety) camera database ... not sure if it was meant to be included, but made my own from local information so didn't bother pursuing further.
The only real 'downside' to the NZ maps is that they're rather expensive for the total amount of 'Mb's' that you get ... I guess that's what you get when you have a total population (hence likely sales) that would fit in a small shoe box in most other parts of the world.
Hope this helps a little. Rest assured the maps and POI's are fine, it's just the price that's a little eye-watering ... or maybe the rest of the world is a bargain.
thanks for your answer. The maps are really very expensive thats true but I decided to buy the TomTom last year because the maps for Garmin cost much more.
Anyway I just wanted to know which POIs are shipped with the card.
