Garmin Updates

Hi Guys
Everytime I uodate my POI from Garmin it tells me that I have downloaded 18 files.
I find it strange that it is always 18
Can anyone tell me if this is right or should I be taking further action

Hi and welcome.

Can you explain exactly what you are doing and what software you are using to do it? I'm not aware of any software that allows you to update POIs from Garmin as the POIs are built into the map data.

When using POI_Loader, it asks you to specify a directory where the data files are. These files can be .gpx or .csv files. Have a look in the directory and look into the files. There is a very good change you will see one or both of these files.

The number 18 means there are 18 waypoints (or POIs) inside this(these) file(s). If you don't add any waypoints (POIs) in them, it will always be 18.
