If the AyToBe is on sale in other European countries and the USA, then surely these come with Mapping for the country they are sold in, so how come it is so hard, if not impossible to get additional maps other than the UK?

Ralph have you managed to find additional maps for your Aytobe. I am looking for Western Europe too. Can not find them anywhere.
