I bought one to replace my Garmin i3. I paid £99 for it and have to admit its great value for the price.
Only had it a day but it seems to work ok with post codes but I did have a problem finding the road name. Went to costco in North London, It found the postcode but could not tell me the street name. I just had to assume it was correct by looking at the final destination, It pinpointed the top of the north circular so just trusted it to get me there. It worked.!!
Searching for poi's is frustrating. If you want to find lakeside shopping centre, you have to tell it where its is located. How was I supposed to know it was based in GRAYS!!! I would have guessed Thurrrock instead.
It also could could not find a road called Peckham Rye unless you told it that it was based in Peckham. Most people would just assume it was in London. The problem is you have to be too specific.
I have emailed ndrive about these problems and have yet to receive a response from them.
To sum up, If your after a basic device and not expecting top of the range features, this would fit the bill for the price tag. Not only does it have Google earth style mapping in cities, you can also turn it off and it reverts into a normal 2D/3D computer style view. On top of that, the FM transmitter and blue tooth worked ok. however the bluetooth would not connect to my iphone but did with my sony phone.
At its original RRP, £315 is expensive and not worth considering. For £99 it a bargin.
