Hi All

I suspect that my Fortuna clip-on has developed a fault on its charging socket, so may have to be replaced soon. After trawling t'internet I have come across two devices which combine GPS reception with TMC reception (over the radio RDS system) and connect to your PDA via Bluetooth. On the face of it this looks like a great way of getting TMC data without having to pay a monthly fee and run up bills for data on your mobile.

The devices are:-
GNS 5843 RDS TMC BLUETOOTH GPS RECEIVER and
RoyalTek Bluetooth GPS Receiver SiRF Star III - TMC Enabled

Has anyone out there got one of these devices (or similar, even two seperate devices, one for GPS and one for TMC) to actually work with their PDA?
If so, which devices and which navigation software are you using ?

Thanks for any advice.

Although I'm currently using TTN5, I would buy the Nav software that would be compatible with the receiver.

The Dell Axim x50v would be kept on as it's a v.good PDA.
