I would liketo know how to config my G Sat to get only for example the RMC message and the interval to get it instead of the normal 1 second interval.
Thanks in advance _________________ JJD Silva

Hi and
First of all can you tell us what model Garmin Sat Nav you are using?
Secondly, can you explain in a bit more detail what you want to do? I fear there might be a slight language barrier here, but i'm sure we can work around it. |

Thanks for your answer.
I own a G Sat BlueTooth GPS receiver.
It works perfectly sending a lot of NMEA messages ( RMC,GGL,GSA,GSV, ...).
What I would like is sending a message in order to configure it to send only, for example, the RMC message and not all the ones it sends..
Is it clear now?

It's not a GARMIN model - it's a derivative of the BT328 units.
I've moved it into the beginners Forum where it will get more viewers who may know the answer. _________________ Phil |

Sorry but I have not notice that this forum was only for Garmin.
I will seek the right forum in between. _________________ JJD Silva

What are you trying to do with the GPS device that requires only $GPRMC, if you are decoding the information or recording it simply discard the other sentences that are not required, the device will be quite happy sending all of its data over the connection speed and stopping the other data will not increase the positional update frequency - Mike |
