Help with multiple maps on TomTom ONE V1

Hi all, quick question. I have both the USA and Canada and also the Western Europe 1gb maps (Both Vers 710) and independently they work fine when its just the one on my SD card. i now have a bigger SD card and would like the two on the same memory stick. When i just add my backup MAP folder only - it still only sees the europe one???
Like i say though - take out the europe folder and the usa one works great and vice versa. Is there something i am not doing right? Can anyone help??
Havent updated signature yet so following is my tomtom info:

OS: 2327

Are you aware that when you have 2 maps on one card you need to switch between the two maps using Settings ... Manage Maps ... Change Map (May not be exactly the right words for the menu options as I don't have the tomtom handy)?
