Hi! Im a new memember of the forum - having just got my 530T. Seems as if its a great bit of kit, but Im being frustrated by the fact that it seems to lose its Data connection to my Nokia N95 all the while. I have to keep re-pairing the phone with the unit and after some while it seems to work. Also turning the phone on and off seems to help. Using the antenna that you get with the kit isnt much use as it takes a while to put out, and advertises the fact that you have a unit in the car!Can anyone answer some questions please?

How do you get a stable - lasting connection between the unit and the N95? For both bluetooth and data!!!

How can you get the Unit to use the "O2 Mobile web " data connection on the phone rather than the "O2 WAP" connection??...or would it use the Mobile Web connection as a default??

I guess these may be really easy questions to answer....but I cant think for the life of me where to look and a Google search isnt much help!!!!....

Thanks!!! Smile

Welcome to the forum.

I'm no expert on this, because my ancient Nokia is steam driven and therefore works perfectly with my TomTom.

Try a Search of this forum (Search button at the top of the page) on Nokia N95 for details, because it HAS been raised quite a lot - here's just one of several results.

However, I must make the point that you need to decide between the two methods of Traffic - they cannot be used side by side simultaneously. And if you've got the aerial, you can get traffic information without further cost. As for advertising vehicles contents, take it out when you leave the vehicle if it's a concern - surely you don't leave your phone and TomTom in there and the aerial is a very small extra to take out. I leave my aerial in, but then, I'm a fool at times!!

Have you got full GPRS enabled on the phone? you will need to contact O2 to make sure about this as quite often it is disabled by default, when requested they send the details to the hand set via an SMS text message.

WAP will not work with the TomTom server you MUST be using GPRS in order to use the Plus services on the TomTom. O2 PAYG will not work as they don't allow GPRS at all, O2 contracted phones will work fine though - Mike

I found the original N95 bluetooth was a flakie - have you tried connecting it any other bluetooth devices to see if you get a stable connection??

Just got my 530t, I'm using a Samsung f210 and g800 and are both picked up by the 530 for use with O2 data connection.
