How can there be stock for a downloaded map? They are clearly trying to make money before new maps come out and apart from providing the bandwidth it doesn't cost anymore to sell 1 or 100 new maps. They already paid for the map data and re-packaged it |

Just plugged into tom-tom home and it required an up date and it installed -- v2.4.104 then it asked if I wanted to update my Western_Europe. maps to Western_Europe_1GB [v725.1905] for half price -- £31.50 for the down load..
OK done that as well....
my application is -- App 7.163(8493/071205)
what a shambles --
Now when I log in on TTH it don't recognise the stuff on my tom and don't show any maps... and starts asking things like --what language - but also it has no voices !!
Also at some stage TTH says it has an "internal fault" and will send a message --OK then it closes down -- and you have to Reset Tom [paper clip] to get it working again.. then do all the resets -- time etc..
any one else have these problems..
if so what can I do...
oh yes - it has wiped out the previous backups with the new version...
Feel like throwing it at the moment..

Home is a pile of ****.
Best advice I can give its to use it ONLY when there is no alternative - i.e. for installing maps and operating system software.
For everything else (ESPECIALLY for backups) use "copy and paste" with Windows Explorer. |
