inicializing map on StreetPilot i3

I have a new Garmen StreetPilot i3 which came with Chile & Argentina maps on the MSD card. I have moved to South Africa. I have the City Navigar South Africa with the map installed and working on my PC. Problem is when I upload the map to my i3 it sees the maps but will not navigate, it gives an error asking for initialization. I have unlock code for mapsource and the South Africa map and it seems to be fine on the PC, what does the i3 need more?

There are two codes usually - one for use with MapSource on the PC and one that is required for unlocking the map on your GPS unit - you need an unlock code for each unit. The one for the unit is a 25 digit code usually supplied on a piece of bright yellow paper. It's about the size of a post card and could be quite easy to throw out along with the other stuff inside the box.
