I am considering buying a 520 in the next week and been reading on here about a possible new map being brought out in August? My question is: Do I leave it a while before registration and connecting to Home with the possibility of getting the latest map with it or would TOMTOM want any proof of purchase date to comply? Hope this makes sense

The map sale ends I believe on the 30 th July so I would think the new maps will be released shortly after that date !!

The problem is the latest map guarantee can be a bit hit and miss and if it does not work you have to contact Tomtom!! they will ask you to send prove of purchase to confirm the purchase date and if it is outside the 30 day period they are likely to refuse
