I am lead to beleave that the Dual redlight and Gatso speed cameras are yellow and look like the Monitron.
Well, I am finding a few grey redlight cameras that have speed limits attached to them in the DB.
Should I be reporting these as non-speed units? _________________ Drive-Smart-01, DS Pulse Master

How are these labeled? The REDLIGHT cameras are just that but often have the current limit on them as well - they are in their own POI. The REDSPEED cameras are the dual use ones - these are in the main pois with the gatso, truvelo cams etc. _________________ Gerry

as most redlight cameras can easily be upgraded to redspeed we log the speed just in case. even if it never gets changed then at least it serves as a handy reminder of the current road speed!

I use the drivesmart file, it has everything in it, for me they are just a redlight with a speed limit, rather than a redlight with no speed limit defined. _________________ Drive-Smart-01, DS Pulse Master

I remember years ago my brother jumped a set of lights with a camera. Not only did he get the fixed penalty for jumping the lights but they also calculated his speed and did him for speeding too. These were the days when Gatso where the only cameras being installed in the UK. |
