Garmin Cyclops database-advice

Hello

I'm considering replacing my utterly brilliant i3 with a more advanced garmin model. The newer models seem to come supplied with a "free" cyclops garmin UK speed camera database. I've looked into it to compare it with pgps subscription and noted the following;

-It's annual subscription is very expensive.
-You have to buy separate databases for each euro country-very very expensive.

Is the cyclops software embeded in the unit firmware or can it be erased/subsituted with the pgps database (with which I am entirely satisfied-even more so now i've seen what garmin are charging!) and if so can you edit the POI info for kph and mph as you can for the i3 for models supplied with euro mapping?

I know that cyclops database can be turned off but i'd rather not have it at all!

I'd like tmc(coverage limited in UK)/bluetooth but the newer models seem to have become infotainment systems-Any suggestions?
