Hi guys. I got iGo 6 on my PPC. Everytime i get near a camera that's in my database (either speed or traffic light) the GPS makes a strong siren sounds and it doesn't stop until i pass the camera light. I am driving at a normal speed (90-95 KM\H in a 90 road, where the camera takes a picture at a minimum speed of 120) and the sound makes me crazy. Also, i never cross at red light so it's annoying i get these siren sounds near a traffic light. How can i stop those sounds? It would be cool only if it will warn me about the camera and the distance to it, and won't make a siren sounds only if i go over 100 speed. It's really annoying. Also, is it possible that it also warns me about speed cameras in the other lane (which ofcourse it shouldn't)?
Thanks for helping.

Hi and Welcome .
I believe that the Miomap (that I have) is a version of Igo . By default the Mio also does exactlty as you describe. The easiest way to kill the sound is to replace the actual sound in alarm5.wav (it may be alert5.wav) in the Windows folder with a sound a little more discreet.
The speedcams will only work 'one way' if the cam has direction data associated with it. Quite a few in the PGPSW database don't, but more and more direction data is being submitted, so the situation improves daily.
Hope this helps.

Is the software on your device iGO MyWay 2006 SE Plus.

If it is then see pages 74 & 75 in the User Manual.

They show how to set speed tolerances and audible warnings / alerts.
