Hi all

I want to use MS streets and trips when i go to Canada on my laptop how do i get GPS to work on it?

Do i just buy a USB gps like this one?? http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=156728

A newbie

Does your laptop have Bluetooth as this will open up far more options in way of receivers - Mike

No it does not have bluetooth was looking for wired one!

Looking at the MS Streets site here it appears to include a GPS receiver anyway (unless I'm missing something).

If you buy the version bundled with a receiver it should work fine (it's harder to prove where the fault lies if you get the software and receiver separately.

The item you linked to is only SiRF-II so it is an old device, it will work fine with your laptop but it may struggle if offered locations containing tall buildings or even in poor weather/ under trees etc. I would be inclined to spend a little more and consider the slightly newer BU-353 which will be for sale when they have stock from the same web site (click Here - Mike
