Tomtom new maps seem to come thick and fast these days

Is it just me who think Tomtom map updates seem to come more often than they used to !!
Since Christmas we have had the 7.05 then the 7.10 then the 7.15 and now a new new map is released .
My original Tomtom 500 came with 6.60 I then upgraded after about a year or so to 6.75 I am sure the updates were about twice a year then .

I know this may be a sales ploy to get owners to think there maps are out of date and to purchase new map data

it sure is ,but i ain't paying good money when another update is on the horizon
