Number 2 - If you look through a few recent posts, you'll see MapShare has been broken for about two weeks.

In answer to question 2 try this
MAKE SURE YOU DO A BACKUP FIRST ..........................

1. Connect the TT to the PC and do a backup first
2. Close TT home and open the file browser for the device
3. Browse the Western_and_Central_Europe folder (you might have to enable viewing of hidden files"
4. Rename these two files Western_and_Central_Europe.mid", "Western_and_Central_Europe.mms" to .old or something.
5. Eject the unit and let it reboot
6. Do a reset and switch on the unit.
7. Re-connect it to the PC and start up TT home

Then see if that works

I think that is the case fo rthe Netherlands for Q1.

HD Traffic is available there I think at the moment - might be worth looking in to the availability of that for your model?

I think you'll find those files don't exist on v7 maps.

What MIGHT get it to work is to delete all previous corrections "from other people" from the device (in Home v2 / Tools / Mapshare / remove corrections).
Over the last two weeks this HASN'T worked for me, but on Friday it did.
Today it didn't again.

Why is everybody so keen to mess with their own set-up when we keep saying its a problem at TomTom's end?

No knowing what model you have, it was only some advice.

If you have a model running Navcore 7 (which I guess you have because of Mapshare) I would hold off buying a TMC antenna until TT fix the software bug that stops it getting delay info.

I don't know how good the reception in in the Netherlands, but I guess it is better than the postcode lottery in the UK.

If you have a 720 a RDS-TMC antenna will give you free traffic info BUT there is a bug in the software that TT are "working hard to resolve".

Until it is fixed, you will not get any delay info, only an indication of an incident.

If you can hold off for a month or so it should be fixed by then.

You could do with finding someone local who has an antenna, or a forum with lots of users from the Netherlands to advise on local reception.

With the launch of HD traffic there is a lot of activity in the traffic arena, it might be an idea to hold off and see what happens next.
