I also bought my TT720 from Comet with the £15 discount code provided on the same site. When I first tried to use the code, it was denied. I phoned Comet CS & was told that the code was out of date and codes such as this on other websites were mostly wrong. He told me the price on the comet site was correct at £169 and it was not being sold at £154..

I thought I would try once more - I had waited for weeks for the 720 to reach my target price and was reluctant to give up. To my surprise, when I applied the code to the 'reserve for store pick up' the price was reduced to £154. I then phoned the store and asked then to check the reservation and confirm the price and all was ok.

I think the reason the price was reduced so much that weekend was to take advantage of the bank holiday motorists. The £15 discount had already been applied to the on-line sat nav prices and somebody issued the £15 discount code in error. I imagine quite a few people ordered the 720 at the very low price as the code was withdrawn by the time a friend tried to use it a few hours later.

I'm sure the price will be discounted again for the next bank holiday, you just need to be patient & check prices on satnav-discounts.co.uk regularly.
