Having finally got my new 920T working by reverting to 7v221 software from 7v480 I d/loaded the PGPS Speed-zoned Cameras and installed them - no problem.
Also d/loaded and installed the "Liz (v2) Speed-zoned" .ogg files. Installed no problem.
However, when trying to activate them in accordance with the instructions given for version 7 software I run into a peculiar problem.
They all activate as per the instructions EXCEPT FOR THE SPECS .ogg files.
When I try to activate any of the specs files I select "Sound effect" as with all the others but I am given a choice of the "Beeps and Bongs" to select from which of course it shouldn't do.
If I test the .ogg files in the directory I d/loaded to OR on the 920T itself they all 'sound off' correctly.
Have tried deleting the specs .ogg files (only) from the 920T and re-installing them from my download but no different.
Have also tried removing all the .ogg files from the 920T and installing the PGPS .ogg files and exactly the same thing happens. The specs .ogg files just don't want to know!!!!
Now running out of ideas - anybody else got any clues?

Before we try other options, can you just try a reset?

And you definitely have a .ogg file that matches the file name of the problem POI?

Yes, all the specs files have a .bmp, an .ov2 and an .ogg file all with the same name, as do the gatso's and mobiles which work fine.
If using Gerry's Speed-zoned icons they also have an "xxxx_X2.bmp", but the problem is the same whether I use Gerry's files or the PGPS ones.
The only other POI I have currently activated is a McDonalds file.

"Activated" Might that mean that you have a load of other POIs which are on the device but not "activated"?

Yes. By "activated" I mean they show up on the POI list with a tick and a loudspeaker icon alongside them.

No, no. The question is "Have you got a load of other POIs on the device which you have NOT activated"?

Reason for asking is that it is possible to exceed the limit of POIs allowed on the device - if you have too many, the excess ones will not activate and the device has a will of its own regarding which it will activate and which it won't (it's not as simple as Last in, First out). This might explain why your Specs won't work.

If this is a possibility for you, using Windows Explorer, count how many files you have ending .ov2 in the map folder.

Checked with Explorer.
33 ov2's in total.
32 Cameras, + 1 McDonalds.
Surely nowhere near the limit?

Going slightly off-subject Dennnis can you confirm that the latest map for the 920T is supposed to be v715?
When I bought it it came with v710.1576.
TTH gave me the option to obtain the latest map but when I d/loaded it it was the same one.
Just tried it again and it's saying my map is the latest.

Latest map is v715. Before you go off on one, have you looked at your map version?

Tap on Satellites,
Tap on v7.221
Shows map as 710.1576

Have decided to delete all Cameras and .ogg files, get a fresh d/load of both and try again. Just in case I've got a corrupt d/load which I doubt.

If the 920T is less than a month old, they owe you v715 map.

Rang TomTom this morning about the maps. Spoke to a very nice guy clled John who asked me to send him an email with Proof of Purchase and he would make the map available tomorrow.
Also told him of problems with 7v480 and he said they didn't know of any problems with it - sound familiar to anyone.

Still having problems with the camera voices. The only ones that work correctly are the Gatso's. All the others insist on asking for the Bells and Bongs! Will have to carry on experimenting further today!
Tried doing a backup to day one but still the same!
