I am using MM v5 and I am trying to add marks (airports and nav beacons) but I want them to stay visible 'permanantly'.

Whats happening is whenever I make a route using these marks, when I turn the route off the marks also disappear.

Does anyone know how to make them 'permanant'?

If you make a route using your marks for some of the points, they will indeed be hidden along with the route when you turn it off - the marks are part of the route.

I always make the route first (using the default blue-dot waypoint mark) and then add my marks at the required places afterwards. They are then completely separate from the route and can be displayed or hidden independently of it. Each mark is then on its own layer, conceptually.

Thanks, I see how to do it now, though it does mean renaming the waypoints so they show up on the GPS....perhaps something MM could look into for the next update/upgrade
